What do homeowners ask about Emergency Service?
What counts as an electrical emergency?
Anything with smoke, sparks, fire, burning smell, or hot electrical components. Anything with potential injury: exposed wires, downed lines, water at the panel. Total or partial power loss with no obvious cause. When in doubt, call. We'll triage on the phone.
Do you offer 24-hour electrician service, including nights and weekends?
Yes. We run a true 24/7 electrician on-call line. After-hours calls for genuine electrical emergency service are answered by a technician, not a voicemail. Nights, weekends, and holidays. The $189 dispatch fee applies for after-hours calls and credits toward the repair.
How fast can you respond?
Most San Diego County after-hours calls land in 60 to 120 minutes from dispatch. Coastal and central calls fastest; mountain communities take longer due to drive time. We give an honest ETA when you call.
Do you handle residential electrician emergencies and commercial electrician emergencies?
Both. Residential electrician emergency calls (no power, sparking outlet, burning smell in a home) and commercial electrician emergency calls (panel fault, partial power loss in a business, storm damage at a commercial building) go to the same 24/7 line. Commercial after-hours rates apply for business properties.
How much is after-hours emergency service?
$189 dispatch fee for nights, weekends, and holidays. Repairs quoted flat-rate after diagnostic, same as our regular daytime service. The dispatch fee is credited toward the repair when you proceed.
Should I turn off the main breaker before you arrive?
If there's smoke, fire, or sparking and you can safely reach the main breaker, yes. Otherwise leave the panel alone and call us. We'll walk you through what to safely shut off over the phone if needed.
Do you work with SDG&E for downed lines or weatherhead damage?
Yes. SDG&E owns the line up to the weatherhead; we own the weatherhead and everything inside. For storm or tree damage that crosses both sides, we coordinate the disconnect with SDG&E, do our work, and the utility re-energizes.

Our 1960s Federal Pacific panel was flagged by our home inspector. Bright Pro pulled the permit, swapped it for a 200-amp modern panel, and had us back online by end of day. Insurance premium dropped the next month.
Installed a Tesla Wall Connector on a 60-amp circuit with a clean conduit run along the garage wall. Helped me file the SDG&E rebate paperwork. Charges my Model Y from empty overnight with no issues.
We bought a 1940s craftsman with knob-and-tube wiring. Bright Pro rewired the whole house over 5 days without tearing up any plaster walls. Crew cleaned up every night. Insurance dropped the exclusion.
